A Symposium – March 15, 2019
Now approved for CLE Credit: 6.75 hours in Illinois; 6.8 hours in Indiana, and 8.0 hours in Wisconsin
I hope you can attend the Seventh Circuit Bar Association Foundation’s upcoming symposium addressing the paralysis in Congress and ways to move beyond it. The program will be held at the University Club, 76 E. Monroe, Chicago, on Friday, March 15.
The program will look at money in politics, campaign finance, political advertising, journalism and social media, political gerrymandering, and the impact of internal legislative rules. The program will conclude with a panel that will look for solutions to our current stalemate.
Senator Richard Durbin has agreed to join our roster of speakers, which includes Sen. Feingold, Rep. Lipinski, Rep. (and Secy.) LaHood, Rep. Shadegg, plus political scientists, law professors, citizen advocates, and others. With CLE, the cost is $50; without CLE, the cost is only $30.
Registration and a full agenda of speakers and topics is available on the website of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association,www.7thcircuitbar.org
While focusing on legal issues, non-lawyers are invited. Feel free to share this invitation with others in your firms and offices and with anyone you think may be interested in attending. Help us in spreading the word about this timely and important program. Please contact Debbie Groboski at dg@ag-ltd.com if you need any other information.
